About Runway
Ken and Cathy moved to Washington state in 2016. At the time, I was a regional sales manager for a Miami based cruise line. We initially purchased a home in Gig Harbor but after four years, grew weary of clouds and traffic. We moved to Walla Walla in 2020 and have found it to be a wonderful community.
After 35 wonderful years in the travel industry, COVID changed everything. Being about relationships, I couldn’t be happy on zoom. We were having a beer at Quirk and noticed the vacant building next door.
Ken assured me he could convert it into something and we chose a sparking wine bar and restaurant. He got to work and we opened in august 2021. The community embraced us and here we are. We will be renewing our lease in December and look forward to more years with our wonderful customers/friends.
